I can’t stop getting emotional about how tenderly a shepherd caresses his dog’s face on this marble sarcophagus from the third century

The dog’s face is just so lovingly crafted and it’s much more finely detailed than some of the other animals in the piece. The expression is pure contentment and devotion. This scene is a tiny portion of a huge elaborate sculpture but I really feel like the artist was trying to capture a specific emotion with these two. The way that you feel when you look at your dog is thousands of years old.

I think people sometimes forget that the Crazy Frog was literally a TV ad spot for a novelty ringtone. Which is such an unbelievably specific bygone era that its easier to imagine it as some kind of internet meme animation.

And then it was so wildly popular that the creators overlaid some of the sound effects onto bestselling 1984 movie soundtrack song “Axel F” and it was SO popular that people just imagine the song was written for the ringtone ad frog. From when you paid for ringtones. On TV.

Wait, it WASNT meme animation?? I thought it was just like that gummy bear song 😭

You guys know how to travel in a car with your canes, right? You know where to put them so they don’t kill you in an accident? You’re not just holding them on your lap?

For the record they go under your feet or under the seat. That’s the safest place for them except the trunk. Pls don’t let your mobility aid kill you in a freak accident
